I had this problem with a lot of my blogs so I built a WordPress plugin called &lt;a href=&quot;http://blogpig.com/products/commentpig&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;CommentPiG&lt;/a&gt; that gives my new posts a &#039;kickstart&#039; and automatically adds on topic comments.

After running it for a while I can either leave it in place or turn it off as the momentum of &#039;real&#039; commenters has already started.</description>
